They are similar to most nuts when it comes to cooking, so feel free to experiment!

Here Are Some facts about almonds

Almonds are the “original Nuts” and can be traced back to ancient times. They were called “mandrakes” by the Greeks, “almondes” by the Arabs, and “mandragoras” by the medieval Europeans. Almond trees are deciduous and can reach heights of up to 20 m (66 feet). The smell of the blossoms is so sweet that it has been known to cause nosebleeds. It takes more than one full year for a tree to yield its first crop because almond flowers appear before the leaves come out, making it difficult to pollinate. It takes around three years for an almond tree to begin producing fruit, and the first crop generally yields only about 10%. Some trees never produce a significant yield. In 2013, California produced $2.1 billion worth of almonds out of the total global production of $4.3 billion in 2014, making up the majority of worldwide output. Almond trees need a lot of water to produce fruit, so this is an extremely lucrative business in California.
